New Hope Names 2024 Appreciation Award Recipients

February 10, 2025

At the New Hope 2024 Annual Appreciation Event, held on Tuesday, December 10th, more than 100 donors, volunteers, and community supporters gathered at the Carrollton Inn for an evening dedicated to celebration, recognition, and gratitude. The evening started with stories about two people served by New Hope. Board members for both the agency and Foundation were recognized also.

“This event is our opportunity to say thank you and honor those who support our mission throughout the year,” said Angie Owen, New Hope Development Director.

The evening featured recognition of employees marking 40+ years of service with New Hope, donors reaching new contribution levels over the past year, new Legacy Society members, and individuals who have included New Hope in their estate plans. The highlight of the night was the announcement of the Appreciation Award recipients.

Employees recognized for 40 or more years of service included:

  • Rhonda Feldman, Executive Assistant
  • Karla Billmeier, Community Integration Coach
  • Cathy Olson, Job Coach
  • Joyce Hinners, Program Coordinator

“Every year, we honor individuals, groups, or organizations that go above and beyond to support our mission of enriching the lives of individuals we serve,” Owen added. “This year, we were proud to recognize two businesses for their exceptional contributions, Outlaw Graphics and the Environmental Services Department at St. Anthony Regional Hospital.”

Appreciation Awards

Outlaw Graphics. For the past four years, Outlaw Graphics’ owners Steve Schon and Tyler Petersen have donated approximately 100 printed white t-shirts for all participants of the annual Color Round at New Hope held in the fall each year. These shirts create a sense of belonging to the people served by New Hope and are a blank canvas for the dusty color that makes the event so memorable. Their generosity transforms the Color Round into an event filled with connection, celebration, and support.

St. Anthony Regional Hospital, Environmental Services. Lisa Kouri, Director of Materials Management and Environmental Services, and Tyler Loew, Supervisor of Environmental Services, have gone above and beyond in welcoming two individuals supported by New Hope onto their hospital team. Their dedication extends far beyond job duties—ensuring a safe environment and providing support. They adjust plans, listen with empathy, and create opportunities for success, both in the workplace and beyond. Even off the clock, they answer calls, check in daily, and provide guidance.

The evening was rounded out with a number of awards for donors, including those who remembered New Hope in their memorials.

Charitable Awards

Awards were presented to those individuals, businesses and organizations who reached a new level of giving during New Hope’s 2024 fiscal year, new Legacy Society members as well as outgoing board members. Donor recognition levels include Partners in Hope, $1,000-$4,999; Builders of Hope, $5,000-$9,999; Leadership Circle, $10,000-$24,999; Visionary Circle, $25,000-$49,999; President’s Club, $50,000-$99,999; Century Builders, $100,000-249,999; Advocates, $250,000-$499,999; Guardians, $500,000-$999,999; and Pioneers of Hope, $1 million and more.

In 2024, New Hope had 40 individuals or organizations achieve a new donor level. Five memorials were also recognized as being received by New Hope through the year and five people or couples added New Hope to their wills or estates as new Legacy Society members.
