McFarland Clinic Donates to New Hope Campaign, Ensuring Barrier-Free Lifts for Disabled Adults

February 10, 2025

McFarland Clinic, a physician-owned multi-specialty clinic, recently made a generous pledge to New Hope, a residential and community campus for adults with disabilities, helping complete their campaign to install barrier-free lifts across the campus. This donation ensures that residents with mobility challenges will have safe, efficient access to lifts, promoting greater independence and improving quality of life.

New Hope launched the campaign in 2020 with the goal of changing single-track lifts to dual track lifts in key areas of the campus. These lifts are essential for providing safe and dignified support for individuals with limited mobility, allowing them to move more freely within their living spaces.

“We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our McFarland Clinic physicians and their commitment to supporting our mission,” said Jenn Quigley, Chief Executive Officer at New Hope. “Their donation allowed us to reach our goal and in turn make a lasting impact in the lives of the individuals we serve.”

The barrier-free lifts play a crucial role in daily care routines, giving staff the tools they need to provide safer and more comfortable support for residents. This project also aligns with the ongoing mission of New Hope to create an inclusive, accessible environment for all individuals on campus.

“At McFarland Clinic, we are deeply committed to improving the health and well-being of our community, and supporting New Hope aligns with our mission,” said Dr. John Evans, McFarland Clinic Medical Director. “We are proud to help make a difference in the lives of the residents and ensure they have the resources necessary for a safe and fulfilling life. Our New Hope patients have a special place in our hearts.”

With the final funding in place, New Hope completed the installation of the dual-track barrier-free lifts this year. This milestone marks a significant step forward in the organization’s efforts to provide a fully accessible environment for the adults in their care.
