Campus Residential Supervisor

Direct Support Professional

Now offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus for all DSP positions!

Full-time, part-time and substitute hours available.   

Direct Support Professional (DSP) positions provide assistance to adults with disabilities in either a campus or community-based setting. DSP’s provide assistance with daily activities such as personal care, community outings, leisure activities, meals, laundry and cleaning. DSP’s are also responsible for data collection and documentation. In addition, DSP’s in our community homes administer medications. No prior experience is required, New Hope provides paid classroom instruction and on-the-job training with an assigned mentor to help ensure a successful career with New Hope.

Scheduling Options: New Hope offers many scheduling options to meet the needs of persons served and employees. In our community homes, New Hope offers longer shifts but fewer days which work well for commuters. Community homes are located in Carroll and Glidden. New Hope’s on-campus homes are located in Carroll and offer more traditional shifts for those looking for a more traditional schedule.


  • Ability to read, write, and perform simple arithmetic calculations
  • Campus home staff must be 16 years of age or older
  • Community home staff must be 18 years of age or older, have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and be insurable under our agency’s auto insurance, and also the ability to successfully complete the Medication Manager course after hire

Weekend Differential: $2 per hour additional

Evening and Overnight Shift Differential: $1.50 per hour additional

Direct Support Professional, On-Campus Full-Time Overnights

Now offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus for all DSP positions!

New Hope is now hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for the overnight shift, full-time, 40 hours a week. This DSP position will work as a “float” in all campus homes as needed. Primary hours will be 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., and every other weekend.

The starting wage for this position will be $18.48/hour with an additional $1.50/hour shift differential and $2.00/hour additional for weekend hours. Flexibility is a must in this role!

Direct Support Professional Relief Positions

$2,000 Sign On Bonus!  

Weekend Differential increased to $2/hour additional

Shift Differential:   Additional $1.50/hour for evening and overnight shifts.   

Campus Relief – full-time positions, would work different shifts and includes every other weekend.   Will work in different homes on campus.  Must be Flexible!  $18.48/hour base.

Community Relief – full-time positions, hours will vary, must be flexible.   Ability to sleep up to 5.5 hours on the overnight shifts.  Additional $1.50/hour for evening shifts.     $2/an hour more for weekends!  $18.48/hour base.


No Experience required, paid classroom instruction and assigned a seasoned mentor.

Nursing Positions RN/LPN/CMA

Sign-On Bonuses Available!

*Overnight Weekend Package for RN: Work 10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m., Friday into Saturday and Saturday into Sunday. Earn $36.69/hour, base for weekend package, working 2 out of 3 weekends.

*Weekend Package for RN or LPN: This position works 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., 2 out of 3 weekends.

*RN, LPN: This position works Monday through Friday, 8:00 – 4:00 p.m., with every 3rd weekend working in Community Residential homes. $4,000 sign-on bonus!

*Nurse On-Call, LPN or RN: This is a 10:00 – 8:00 p.m. shift, working Monday through Thursday, NO WEEKENDS. Now offering a $4,000 sign-on bonus for this position!

*CMA, LPN, RN: Working 2:00 – 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and every 3rd weekend. Position offers a $4,000 sign-on bonus!

*PRN hours available for CMA/RN/LPN

Starting Rates

RN Rate: $24.46/hour

LPN Rate: $20.15/hour

CMA Rate: $16.51.hour

Nurse Coordinator, RN

$6,000 Sign On Bonus for Nurse Coordinator 

New Hope is now looking to hire a full-time Nurse Coordinator, RN, to it’s team of dedicated and caring nursing professionals! This position would work Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., and be on call every 5th weekend.

In this role, you would:

  • Deliver health services to individuals with disabilities based on clients’ individual health needs
  • Complete health assessments and monitoring health needs
  • Administer medication-schedule and take clients to medical appointments

Qualifications: Must be an RN with 1-3 years experience in acute health care or one year related job experience in a similar facility. One to two years of supervisory experience preferred. 

New Hope provides 24-hour nursing services within it’s On-Campus Residential program, as well as nursing oversight services to the Community and Vocational programs.

Growing Hope Childcare Center Director

New Hope is excited to announce it will be opening an on-campus childcare center and we are now looking for the right candidate to lead this new venture!

Getting in at the ground level of this new Center, the Director will assist New Hope throughout the Center development and construction process, including working with necessary requirements in accordance with policies, procedures and licensing standards to open Growing Hope. The Director will also develop appropriate curriculum, positive behavior management plans and oversee safe arrival and departure of children. 

The Director will interview and hire staff for Growing Hope, as well as provide orientation, training and evaluation for all staff on an annual and ongoing basis. The position will manage day-to-day operations of the center as well as manage funds by planning, developing and controlling a budget.

Qualifications: Applicant must be at least 21 years of age and have 1-2 years experience working with children in a childcare or preschool setting. Bachelor degree or higher in early childhood, child development or elementary education. Must be able to meet and maintain certification through the Iowa Department of Human Services as a Child Care Director.

Sales Associate, Atlantic Bargain Shoppe

Our Atlantic Bargain Shoppe, opening fall 2022, is currently seeking applicants for for full-time (40 hours/week) Sales Associates! This is an exciting opportunity to join the Bargain Shoppe team at a new location! If you’re looking for a new challenge, this could be the job for you.

This position will act as cashier, operating the iPad system and providing exemplary customer service. This role also assists in displaying sales merchandise, hanging clothes, organizing store shelves, maintaining inventory and ensuring store displays are presentable at all times. This role is one of the first “hello’s” a customer hears when walking in and one of the last to say “thank you for supporting New Hope” as a customer leaves.

This is a full-time position, working 40-hours a week including some evenings and alternate weekends.

Receiver|Sorter, Atlantic Bargain Shoppe

The Receiver|Sorter (RS) position is an extremely important position in the Bargain Shoppe process, and we’re looking for a talented individual to fill these roles for us! As an RS, you’ll be working in the Bargain Shoppe backroom, the heart of donation processing.

The RS is the first point of contact for donated items, sorting them before pricing for the sales floor. This is an important position helps determine what inventory will be available for our Bargain Shoppe shoppers!

Pricing Associate, Atlantic Bargain Shoppe

$500 Sign-On Bonus for all Bargain Shoppe Employees Hired by October 15!

The Pricing Associate is tasked with pricing and directing the quality selection of donated goods for placement onto the sales floor. All of the items seen on the sales floor have been carefully reviewed for quality and priced by one of the Bargain Shoppe’s skilled Pricing Associates.

Additionally, Pricing Associate’s help to maintain a clean and neat store by keeping the sorting areas organized, clean, odor controlled and safe (this is no small task!). This position will also assist with maintaining the Bargain Shoppe’s rotation system according to policy and help to monitor inventory needs of the sales floor.

Manager, Coon Rapids Bargain Shoppe

New Hope has an exciting opportunity to join it’s team as the manager of one of our longstanding Bargain Shoppes: Coon Rapids. We are looking for a Manager applicant with leadership and retail experience, detail oriented, a multi-tasking maven and an individual with a keen eye for creative displays.

As the manager of the Coon Rapids Bargain Shoppe, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring it runs smoothly and effectively in support of New Hope’s mission. In this role, you will supervise the operational and organizational activities of the store. Duties will include undertaking administrative tasks, donation receiving and processing, ensuring quality products make their way to the sales floor and that the color rotation system utilized at all Bargain Shoppes is maintained. This role is also responsible for the store’s financial oversight, budgeting and all store cash handling protocols, as well as keeping accurate sales records, register receipts, donor receipts, volunteer and employee records, safety training records and more.

The Bargain Shoppe Manager hires, trains, develops and retains staff and volunteers and is responsible for scheduling to cover all hours and responsibilities. Lastly, the Bargain Shoppe Manager works diligently to carry on history of successfully supporting New Hope’s mission by sustaining a profitable and productive Bargain Shoppe.
