Volunteer and Donor Relations Coordinator

The New Hope Foundation and Development Department has an exciting opportunity to join it’s team as the Volunteer and Donor Relations Coordinator. This position is responsible for supporting all fundraising and development activities, including event planning, database management, donor relations, volunteer relations and coordinating, gift processing and other administrative and
project-based work.

This position will keep and update the mailing and emailing list, manage the online giving and monthly giving programs, assist with planning events and meetings, including running errands and purchasing supplies for the Development Department. This role will also assist in providing marketing support for the department, maintain all safety and incident reports for the department, prepare monthly financial reports, store and record donor receipts, cash register tapes and bank deposit slips, and process and maintain spreadsheet balances for Client Special Needs requests and Foundation Transfers. Additionally, this position will assume Volunteer Coordinator duties including working with local businesses, schools, civic organizations, youth groups and churches to encourage, recruit and engage potential volunteers. This role will be responsible for data entry of new volunteers and coordinating necessary checks in relation to those volunteers.

Applicants must have an associates degree in marketing, communications, public relations, event planning or equivalent experience; preferably a bachelor degree, or equivalent experience, in the same areas. Additionally, applicants must have two years marketing, communications, public relations and/or administrative assistance experience, preferably four years. Experience working with a nonprofit organization preferred.


Communication Support Staff

New Hope’s Therapies Department is now hiring for a Communication Support Staff. As a Communication Support Specialist, the right candidate will provide implementation of treatment plans according to orders and/or recommendations from a licensed therapist to maximize the function of an individual and prevent deterioration of further disability.

This role organizes and maintains therapy materials. This position will assist with staff training for sign language, or specific staff training of communication devices or particular programs. The Communication Support Staff serves as a liaison between SLP and other staff for follow-up to training sessions, questions regarding specific goals, and help monitoring the need for additional training or revisions to goals by the SLP, carry out communication programs as designated by SLP. Additionally, this role will participate in two evening meals per month in each ICF/ID home, serving as a role model for mealtime interactions.

Applicants must have a high school diploma, or GED, must be 16 years of age or older and be able to demonstrate the ability to read, write, speak English, and perform simple arithmetic calculation. Applicants should have one year experience working with persons having physical disabilities, in a nursing home, long-term care facility, special education classroom, hospital, residential facility or other care organization.


Direct Support Professional

Now offering up to a $6,000 sign-on bonus for DSP positions!

Full-time, part-time and substitute hours available.   

Direct Support Professional (DSP) positions provide assistance to adults with disabilities in either a campus or community-based setting. DSP’s provide assistance with daily activities such as personal care, community outings, leisure activities, meals, laundry and cleaning. DSP’s are also responsible for data collection and documentation. In addition, DSP’s in our community homes administer medications. No prior experience is required, New Hope provides paid classroom instruction and on-the-job training with an assigned mentor to help ensure a successful career with New Hope.

Scheduling Options: New Hope offers many scheduling options to meet the needs of persons served and employees. In our community homes, New Hope offers longer shifts but fewer days which work well for commuters. Community homes are located in Carroll and Glidden. New Hope’s on-campus homes are located in Carroll and offer more traditional shifts for those looking for a more traditional schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, and perform simple arithmetic calculations
  • Campus home staff must be 16 years of age or older
  • Community home staff must be 18 years of age or older, have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and be insurable under our agency’s auto insurance, and also the ability to successfully complete the Medication Manager course after hire

Weekend Differential: $2 per hour additional

Evening and Overnight Shift Differential: $1.50 per hour additional


Direct Support Professional, On-Campus Full-Time Overnights

Now offering up a $6,000 sign-on bonus for afternoon and overnight DSP positions!

New Hope is now hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for the overnight shift, full-time, 40 hours a week. This DSP position will work as a “float” in all campus homes as needed. Primary hours will be 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., and every other weekend.

The starting wage for this position will be $18.48/hour with an additional $1.50/hour shift differential and $2.00/hour additional for weekend hours. Flexibility is a must in this role!


Nursing Positions RN/LPN/CMA

Sign-On Bonuses Available!

*LPN: This position works 7:00-3:00 p.m. or 8:00-4:00 p.m. and every 3rd weekend. $2,000 sign-on bonus!

*Overnight Weekend Package for RN: Work 10:00 p.m.- 6:00 a.m., Friday into Saturday and Saturday into Sunday. Earn $36.69/hour, base for weekend package, working 2 out of 3 weekends. $4,000 sign-on bonus!

Nurse Coordinator, RN

$10,000 Sign On Bonus for Nurse Coordinator 

New Hope is now looking to hire a full-time Nurse Coordinator, RN, to it’s team of dedicated and caring nursing professionals! This position would work Monday through Friday, 7:00 – 3:00 p.m. or 8:00 – 4:00 p.m., and be on call every 5th weekend.

In this role, you would:

  • Deliver health services to individuals with disabilities based on clients’ individual health needs
  • Complete health assessments and monitoring health needs
  • Administer medication-schedule and take clients to medical appointments

Qualifications: Must be an RN with 1-3 years experience in acute health care or one year related job experience in a similar facility. One to two years of supervisory experience preferred. 

New Hope provides 24-hour nursing services within it’s On-Campus Residential program, as well as nursing oversight services to the Community and Vocational programs.


Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

New Hope is now hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) for all shifts, full-time, part-time and weekends! Join a team that makes a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities, while putting your nursing skills to practical use.

As a CNA at New Hope, you’ll be a valued member of our health services and residential teams, working with individuals daily providing person-centered supports in and outside of their homes. This role assists with daily range of motion exercises, individual transfers, nutrition support, activities of daily living, providing activities to build or maintain skills, and individual advocacy. In addition, this role will work with other staff in the homes to maintain a safe and healthy environment, assist with coverage during weather and emergency situations, communicate with team members as well as families and the public professionally and courteously, and implement the mission of New Hope.

Applicants must be Certified Nursing Assistants, able to read, write and speak English effectively. CNA’s must complete New Hope Safety Cares course, have CPR certification, or obtain certification within three months of hire, complete Dependent Adult/Child Abuse Mandatory Reporting course and maintain CNA certification while employed by New Hope.


Workforce Manager

New Hope is hiring a Workforce Manager to supervise the Relief and Substitute/Flex Direct Support Professional (DSP) workforce and arrange for replacement staff to fill program vacancies at locations.

Receiver|Sorter, Atlantic Bargain Shoppe

The Receiver|Sorter (RS) position is an extremely important position in the Bargain Shoppe process, and we’re looking for a talented individual to fill these roles for us! As an RS, you’ll be working in the Bargain Shoppe backroom, the heart of donation processing.

The RS is the first point of contact for donated items, sorting them before pricing for the sales floor. This is an important position helps determine what inventory will be available for our Bargain Shoppe shoppers!


Pricing Associate, Atlantic Bargain Shoppe

The Pricing Associate is tasked with pricing and directing the quality selection of donated goods for placement onto the sales floor. All of the items seen on the sales floor have been carefully reviewed for quality and priced by one of the Bargain Shoppe’s skilled Pricing Associates.

Additionally, Pricing Associate’s help to maintain a clean and neat store by keeping the sorting areas organized, clean, odor controlled and safe (this is no small task!). This position will also assist with maintaining the Bargain Shoppe’s rotation system according to policy and help to monitor inventory needs of the sales floor.

Community Living Supervisor

If you’re looking for a growth opportunity in New Hope’s Community Residential program, this is it! New Hope is now hiring for a full-time Community Living Supervisor. This position is responsible to work collaboratively with the Community Program Coordinator (CPC) in the planning, organizing, directing and coordinating Support Community Living services for individuals living in the community. This person will be responsible for supervising staff working in a caseload of homes, as well as the general management of each home. The Community Living Supervisor will work together with the SCL team and serve as a resource for the department.

Must be flexible and available to provide support and supervision across all shifts as needed, including rotating on-call nights, weekends and holidays. Required: Associate degree in related field such as human services, business administration, personnel supervision, or equivalent in years of experience in related field. Required: One year of previous experience in intellectual disabilities, or health care setting, and/or previous experience in human resource management.

This role works with supervisors and natural supports at area businesses to reinforce their expectations by assisting the employed individual. The Job Coach works as part of a comprehensive team, sharing progress and completing documentation for the services provided.

Applicants must be 18 years of age, show proof of high school graduation and have six months of experience supporting individuals with disabilities. A satisfactory driving record and valid driver’s license is required to be insured. Applicant must acquire and maintain a D-3 license.


Community Integration Coach (CIC)

New Hope is now hiring caring, fun-loving people to join our team! While technically it’s a job (called a Community Integration Coach), you will spend your day assisting others as they go out into the community and have fun! Your most important duties are helping others find new ways to enjoy themselves, while also making sure they see their friends and go to their favorite places. You don’t need special training or education, we will set you on a path to success!

This role is 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday. Applicants must be energetic, flexible, creative and work as a team player. Applicant must be computer literate and able to provide accurate electronic documentation. Requirements include a good driving record, and be able to obtain, or have a chauffeurs D3 license and the NH Med Manager certification.


Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP)

A Quality Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) is an integral member of the leadership team for New Hope’s Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, (ICF/ID). The QIDP coordinates service design and supports for approximately 18 adults with intellectual or other developmental disabilities. The QIDP is responsible for the coordination of each person’s total plan, within assigned caseloads, acts as the person’s advocate, and as liaison for the facility and person with the family and external funding agencies.

The QIDP must possess strong organization and communication skills and be self-directed. Applicant must have a bachelors degree in a human services field, or be an RN and have at least one year of experience working with people with disabilities.


Maintenance Technician – Grounds/Utility

This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7:00-4:00 p.m. The Maintenance Technician shall ensure basic upkeep of the buildings and grounds at all sites owned or leased by New Hope. This skilled work will include:

· All necessary repairs, scheduled checks, and preventative maintenance, to ensure a safe and pleasant environment.

· Grounds keeping on New Hope properties include but is not limited to, trimming all trees and bushes, weed eating, edging sidewalks and parking areas, mowing, spraying weeds, as well as weed control in landscape areas. All other aspects of grounds keeping.

· Painting, using a floor scrubber, reel cleaner, carpet shampooer, and assist in delivering supplies.

· Must be willing to obtain a CDL, Class C with passenger endorsement.  Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work alone. Must be detail oriented, able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and have good communication and decision making skills.  Will participate in a rotating on-call system.

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, lawn care, and equipment operations, and related work. Use custodial equipment. Experience: Lawn care, and equipment operations and job knowledge of related work.  Knowledge in appliance, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs. 


ICF Program Manager

New Hope has an exciting opportunity! The agency is now hiring for an ICF Program Manager. This newly designed role is a 40-hour, full-time position and member of the ICF/on-campus leadership team. The Program Manager supervises the Qualified Intellectual Disability Professionals (QIDPs) and is responsible for oversight of the programs and services provided and coordinated within the ICF program, including coordination of the day services schedule for the ICF/ID program.

This position will ensure quality services by being knowledgeable and enforce applicable rules, regulations and legal requirements. The Program Manager will train QIDPs and Hab Techs to ensure they are meeting applicable rules and regulations within the ICF program. This role will stay well-informed of industry trends and participate in survey’s and investigations completed by DIA, as well as assist in developing plans of correction as needed. The Program Manager will also provide quality programs and services by planning the ICF day services schedule, overseeing and coordinating activities scheduled for the day services program. This position will complete observations of programs being implemented by homes, provide appropriate training to DSPs and CNAs regarding the proper use of forms, charts, reports, and more, and serve as an important link in communications to parents by responding to concerns and requests in a timely manner. The Program Manager will be responsible for the Person-Centered Planning (PCP) process, serve as a primary developer of programs designed to increase adaptive skills, ensure electronic records are kept up-to-date and serve as a liaison with medical teams as needed.

Applicants must have a bachelors degree in a related field such as human services or developmental disabilities, and must meet QIDP qualifications. Additionally, applicants must have two or more years of experience as a QIDP in an ICF/ID, preferably with supervisory experience or progressive experience working in an ICF/ID.


ICF Assistant Administrator

New Hope is now hiring two ICF Assistant Administrator roles! These are a 40-hour, full-time positions within the ICF/on-campus leadership team. The Assistant Administrators will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling and coordinating human and material resources of two assigned ICF/ID homes, coordinating the programs and activities of these homes and evaluating the programs within the assigned program.

These positions, for their assigned homes, will ensure the services provided in the homes meet ICF/ID regulatory requirements, while managing day-to-day operations of the homes, including monitoring usage of supplies and food for the home and budgeting for the homes. These positions will interview, hire, train and maintain a qualified, caring and compassionate team, creating an organization and culture of trust, empowerment and teamwork. This role will also work closely with the Qualified Intellectual Disability Professionals (QIDPs) to ensure quality programs and services are provided for each individual served.

Applicants must have a bachelors degree in a related field such as human service, developmental disabilities or nursing. Additionally, applicants must have two or more years of progressive supervisory experience and at least two years of experience working in a program that supports people with intellectual disabilities, preferably progressive experience working in ICF/ID.
