Meaningful work gives people purpose and opens the door to full participation in their communities. For these reasons—and many others—New Hope takes great pride in the success of its Employment Resources program.
Our team partners with local businesses to create opportunities where individuals with disabilities can thrive at competitive wages. We are dedicated to making the right connections: matching dependable, motivated workers with employers who value a strong and inclusive workforce.
Through personalized job training and placement, individuals receive support tailored to their skills and interests, whether they are pursuing independent roles or positions with ongoing coaching. New Hope’s skilled job coaches play an essential role, helping each person build confidence, develop new abilities, and succeed in meaningful, rewarding jobs.
Currently, New Hope works with nearly 50 businesses in a 60-mile radius, providing employment opportunities for approximately 65 individuals in community-based roles.
In 2023, New Hope was also fortunate to have it’s very own Job Developer, Chris Klocke, recognized for her work with a nomination by the Iowa APSE (Association of People Supporting Employment First) organization for the 2023 Professional of the Year Award. Only four individuals in the state received such a nomination.
