Employment gives purpose, and allows individuals to participate in their local communities. For these reasons, and many others, New Hope takes great pride in the success of it’s Employment Resources program.
New Hope’s Employment Resources team works with businesses to develop community employment opportunities, providing work at competitive wages, for individuals with disabilities. New Hope is committed to finding the perfect match between dedicated workers and employers looking to build a strong workforce.
Employment Resources provides job training and placement for individuals with disabilities for supported or independent employment that accentuates their skills and interests. New Hope’s trained job coaches assist employees in gaining skills and training that will help them attain a job that is rewarding and fulfilling.
Currently, New Hope works with nearly 50 businesses in a 60-mile radius, providing employment opportunities for approximately 81 individuals with disabilities.
In 2023, New Hope was also fortunate to have it’s very own Job Developer, Chris Klocke, recognized for her work with a nomination by the Iowa APSE (Association of People Supporting Employment First) organization for the 2023 Professional of the Year Award. Only four individuals in the state received such a nomination.
