Day Habilitation Services are offered as part of New Hope's HCBS service.
This service assists and/or supports the individual in developing and maintaining life skills and community integration. Activities are designed that enable or enhance the person's:
- intellectual skills
- physical and emotional health and development
- language/communication development
- cognitive functioning, functional skill development
- behavior management
- responsibility and self-direction
- daily living activities
- self advocacy skills
New Hope has collaborated their day habiliation services into the community, providing opportunities to our clients for volunteering, taking classes and participating in leisure activities that are integrated with non-disabled community members. The Day Habilitation Program provides opportunities for clients to stay connected to their community which continues to enhance their social and personal skills while volunteering in community businesses and agencies.
